ADDICTED TO CHRIST

An addiction is a very serious problem and a formidable opponent, and it can lead you to physical (and eternal) death. Further, those who are trapped in an addiction are doubly lost—first to the addiction and second to eternal life, even if they somehow manage to control their addiction through secular programs (e.g., AA). But know that when you fully and completely surrender your life to Christ and turn your life over to Him, He can take your addiction from you. I know this subject personally as this is the road I traveled, and that is what happened to me.

Yes, it will still take courage, strength of character, self-control, and discipline on your part to overcome and defeat any addiction, even with the help of Christ, but here’s the good news—He will give you His might, His strength, His wisdom, His hope, and His power to help you do just that. You will be living “by the Spirit” of Christ abiding in you, not by your own might or power. The same Spirit of power that raised Jesus from the dead lives in you. This book is, therefore, a spiritual book, not a medical book, and it shows you how to overcome and defeat addiction through:

    1) Accepting Christ as your Lord and Savior,
    2) Turning your life over to Christ completely, and
    3) Living in the Spirit with Christ abiding in you and you in He.
