This booklet picks up where Favorite Verses left off and contains sixty more of my favorite Bible verses. I again hope they are some of your favorites also. This booklet doesn’t include any verse commentary, as I feel it’s best for the verses to just speak for themselves. We are blessed to have ready access to the written Word of God today as it is written:
Your word is a lamp to my feet
And a light to my path. – Psalm 119:105
The name of the Lord is a strong tower;
The righteous runs into it and is safe. – Proverbs 18:10
When we are “born again,” our new spirit actually feeds on God’s Word; we must read, study, and meditate over Scripture daily to nourish our new self. If we fail to do this, we may start to drift away from God and back towards sin and this fallen world.
“‘man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that proceeds out of the mouth of god.’” – Mattew 4:4
We are also told:
How blessed is the man …whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and in His law he meditates day and night.” – Psalm 1:1-3
Please keep in mind that the photos aren’t necessarily meant to be illustrative of the verses but to serve more as an inspirational reminder of the natural wonder and beauty of God’s creation, especially for those who are unable to visit such places of natural beauty and wonder due to circumstances – we can bring them to you in photo form.
If you find that a particular verse or photo speaks to your heart, please feel free to tear the page out and keep it close to you (or give it to a friend or loved one) as a reminder of His love, mercy, and grace, and also as a reminder of His everlasting and enduring hope for those who are in Him, who love Him and who call on His name.
And remember that no matter where you find yourself, Christ is there with you. He knows your situation, your circumstances and your heart; He promises never to forget or forsake you. Your hope is in Christ alone, not in the things of this world or in man. God bless! – R. John Anderson
